Sir David Murray has had his say on the punishment that could be heading for City

Former Rangers owner Sir David Murray stated that Manchester City could be relegated by one division to avoid destabilizing the Premier League. Speaking on the Graeme Souness Tackles podcast, Murray compared the situation to Italy's 2006 Calciopoli scandal involving Juventus rather than past controversies at Rangers.
Manchester City were found guilty of 113 of 114 charges regarding systematic financial regulation breaches, though the club insists it has evidence to clear its name and plans to appeal. Murray argued that while a one-division relegation might occur, stripped trophies are unlikely because authorities cannot afford to damage the league's overall structure.
