Motherwell hit with UEFA fine as Steelmen plead with fans to park pyro and pitch invasions

Motherwell has received fines from UEFA totaling €25,000 following incidents during their Conference League play-off tie against SC Freiburg. The Scottish club was fined €5,000 for a pitch incursion during the first leg at Fir Park and €20,000 for the discharge of pyrotechnics by supporters during the second leg in Germany.

In an official statement, Motherwell expressed disappointment after previous appeals for responsible conduct were ignored by a small minority of supporters. The club noted earlier fines and damage costs exceeded £100,000 across their European campaign, while also confirming a recent domestic reprimand from the SPFL following a match against St Mirren.
