Rangers may be utilised as the perfect case study for the Premier League's case against Manchester City, a legal expert has told Ibrox News. The Ibrox faithful
Legal expert Daniel Baker told Ibrox News that the Premier League could use Rangers' 2012 demotion as a precedent when determining sanctions for Manchester City. City reportedly faces potential punishment after being found guilty of artificially inflating revenues by over £900 million between 2009 and 2018.
Baker argued that potential expulsion is on the table, noting that Rangers demonstrated a club can successfully rebuild after demotion to the lower tiers. The independent panel retains wide discretion under Premier League regulations to impose whatever sanction it deems appropriate.
