For the first time since 1981, fans in Scotland will be able to drink alcohol in sight of the pitch.

Scotland supporters will be allowed to drink alcohol in their seats during the Women's World Cup play-off against the Czech Republic at St Mirren Park in Paisley. Renfrewshire Council granted a historic license enabling the controlled sale of alcohol, marking the first time since 1981 that Scottish football fans can drink in sight of the pitch.
Beer will be sold at kiosks in the West and East Stands until 15 minutes into the second half, while the North and South Stands remain alcohol-free. The move is permitted because legislation prohibiting drinking in view of the pitch does not cover women's football, as Melissa Andreatta's side defends a 2-0 first-leg lead.
