Wouter Vrancken felt swashbuckling Hearts took another step towards becoming the team he wants them to be
Hearts manager Wouter Vrancken expressed satisfaction after his team defeated St Mirren 5-0 at Tynecastle, securing their biggest home league win in three-and-a-half years. Laurent Mendy opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Calvin Miller added two penalties. Claudio Braga and Josh McPake also found the net to seal the comprehensive victory.
The result marked Hearts' fourth straight home league win since Vrancken took charge in June, bringing their tally to 19 goals across eight games. St Mirren manager Craig McLeish lamented avoidable penalties and individual errors as his side fell to a fourth consecutive defeat.
