Allegri accusation: ‘They put Champions League in Roma’s pocket, I paid for it at Milan’

Napoli head coach Massimiliano Allegri was reportedly heard shouting furious remarks following his team's 3-3 draw against Roma. Allegri claimed that others "put the Champions League in Roma's pocket last season" and stated that he paid the price during his previous tenure at AC Milan. Allegri was sent off from the touchline for dissent in added time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

After cuttting his post-match interview with DAZN Italia short due to his state of mind, Allegri reportedly yelled at Napoli staff members on his way to the press room. His outburst referred to the previous season when Roma and Como edged out Milan for a top-four finish, which resulted in Milan sacking Allegri 24 hours later.
