Cristian Chivu admits Inter felt the pressure in the Champions League against Shakhatar Donetsk and explains his choices. ‘We were ready to suffer and it’s something we lacked before.’

Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu praised his squad's willingness to suffer after securing a hard-fought Champions League victory over Shakhtar Donetsk despite playing with 10 men. Following a red card shown to Alessandro Bastoni for two bookings, Inter scraped the win courtesy of a decisive goal from Carlos Augusto, who converted an assist from Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Speaking after the match, Chivu highlighted that his team showed the resilience and unity they previously lacked during a run of seven defeats in eight Champions League games. The manager also addressed his reshuffled lineup, explaining tactical adjustments made amid injuries to key players including Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard.
