The Story in 60 Seconds

Lazio head coach Gennaro Gattuso addressed his squad's sluggish display following a 3-3 friendly draw against Serie B side Juve Stabia at Formello. Tijjani Noslin and Mattia Zaccagni twice gave Lazio the lead before Juve Stabia loanee Sana Fernandes and Andrea Pinamonti exchanged second-half goals. Gattuso explained that heavy training loads and the absence of eight key international players left the team fatigued and rusty.

Gattuso also provided an injury update on forward Albert Gudmundsson, who returned early after dislocating his shoulder while on international duty with Iceland. Gattuso expressed hope that the 29-year-old would return in under the speculated two-month recovery timetable. Looking ahead, the manager warned that Lazio must prepare carefully for their upcoming Serie A fixture against Monza on October 11.
