Alessandro Bastoni scored Italy’s equaliser and made a late Nations League intervention as the Azzurri drew 1-1 with France in Paris.

Alessandro Bastoni scored an equalizer and made a vital stoppage-time challenge to secure Italy a 1-1 Nations League draw against France in Paris. Michael Olise opened the scoring for France in the 55th minute before Bastoni leveled 13 minutes later from the edge of the penalty box. France's Dayot Upamecano was later sent off in the 85th minute after receiving a second yellow card.
Bastoni's goal ended France's clean-sheet run against Italy dating back to 2007 and marked the first goal conceded under manager Zinedine Zidane. Despite France controlling 65 percent possession, Italy registered eight shots on target compared to France's two, ultimately sharing the points following Bastoni's late defensive intervention on Olise.
