Runjaic: ‘A dark evening for Udinese, it’s not up to me to decide on my future’

Udinese head coach Kosta Runjaic acknowledged his uncertain future following a heavy 5-2 home defeat to Roma on Saturday evening. The loss marked Udinese's seventh defeat in their last eight league matches, leaving the club in 19th place with five points from 10 games. Speaking after the match, Runjaic described the performance as a dark evening and conceded that deciding his managerial position is not up to him.

Roma took a commanding 4-0 lead before halftime courtesy of goals from Bryan Cristante, Rodrigo Mora, Donyell Maen, and Evan Ndicka. Nicolo Zaniolo and Matteo Palma pulled goals back for Udinese in the second half, before Daniele Ghilardi sealed the win for Roma in stoppage time. Defending his decision to make no halftime substitutions, Runjaic urged his team to keep working ahead of their next fixture against Venezia.
