Plans to stage Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight showdown into the early hours of December 12 are open to public objections until November 3, with Cardiff’s Principality Stadium still awaiting permission to extend its operating hours.

Permission has not yet been formally granted to extend the 1am venue curfew for the heavyweight bout between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury in Cardiff. Venue operator Millennium Stadium Plc has submitted an application to Cardiff Council seeking a one-off extension to its premises licence. The proposed schedule includes approximately 1am GMT ringwalks, with the stadium remaining open until 3:30am.
Under the proposal, boxing, late-night refreshments, music, and alcohol sales would be permitted until 3am on December 12. The application is subject to a statutory consultation period, and any objections would trigger a hearing where the licence could be modified or rejected.
