Doggett adds miles to his legs amid Border-Gavaskar Trophy ambitions

Australian fast bowler Brendan Doggett is aiming for selection in the upcoming 2026-27 Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against India. The 32-year-old pacer is currently in India with Australia A for two four-day matches against India A in Puducherry, marking his return to competitive action following a major hamstring injury that has sidelined him since February.

Doggett made his Test debut in the 2025-26 Ashes series and expressed confidence in Australia's fast-bowling depth amid a demanding international schedule. In addition to his red-ball ambitions, Doggett is scheduled to represent the Melbourne Renegades in Chennai on December 12 for their BBL opener against the Perth Scorchers.
