Head coach led club to three consecutive County Championships between 2022 and 2024…

Surrey head coach Gareth Batty is leaving the English county club to join Indian Premier League side Chennai Super Kings as an assistant coach. The 49-year-old will serve under his former Worcestershire teammate Zaheer Khan. His departure ends a 21-year association with Surrey as both a player and coach.
Batty previously guided Surrey to three consecutive County Championship titles between 2022 and 2024. CSK overhauled their coaching staff after former head coach Stephen Fleming departed to take charge of the England Men's Test team, taking assistants Eric Simons and James Foster with him.
