The Australian batter reflects on World Cup disappointment and her motivation to continue playing across multiple formats and tournaments.
Australian batter Beth Mooney has revealed her ambition to target the 2029 Women's ODI World Cup and keep the possibility of playing in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics open. The 32-year-old, who will reach her 100th ODI appearance against Bangladesh at Allan Border Field, remains motivated by Australia's semi-final loss to India at the 2025 World Cup.
Mooney noted that improved financial conditions and busy schedules make longer careers in women's cricket more viable. She also praised younger teammates Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll, expressing excitement over the rapid evolution and modern style of 50-over cricket.
