Ollie Davies became the first player in nine years to score a Sheffield Shield double ton for New South Wales

Ollie Davies scored a remarkable double-century for New South Wales in their Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania. Opening the batting, the 25-year-old hit 253 runs off just 225 balls, featuring 38 boundaries and four sixes, marking the Blues' first Sheffield Shield double-ton in nine years.
Davies was dropped from the side the previous December after struggling, but transformed his form after head coach Brad Haddin moved him from number five to opener. He described entering a flow state during his innings at Cricket Central, where he shared a batting stand with Jack Edwards.
