Lachlan Shaw says he is grateful to have an 'idol' in Brad Haddin as his New South Wales coach…

New South Wales wicketkeeper-batter Lachlan Shaw has earned his first call-up to Australia's T20I squad for the upcoming series against England. The 23-year-old, who recently took over captaincy duties for NSW under head coach Brad Haddin, expressed readiness to take on any role, whether as a specialist batter, wicketkeeper, or fielder, to best support the national side.
With Josh Inglis resting ahead of Australia's Test series against New Zealand, Shaw and Victoria's Sam Harper are the two uncapped options to take the gloves. Shaw credited Haddin as a major mentor for his development, noting that selector Tony Dodemaide has left the door open for him to play either behind the stumps or purely as a batter.
