The x-factor allrounder, who also retires from List A cricket, bows out of the international scene with three World Cups to his name…

Glenn Maxwell has announced his retirement from T20 International and List A cricket, officially concluding a 13-year, 130-match T20I career for Australia. Having retired from ODI cricket last year, the 38-year-old allrounder leaves the international arena after winning three World Cups. He confirmed the decision on the Final Word podcast following discussions with Australian team management about the team building for the future.
Maxwell exits international T20 cricket as Australia's third-highest run scorer with 2,897 runs and shares the world record of five T20I centuries with Rohit Sharma. While finishing his state career with Victoria, he remains contracted with the Melbourne Stars until 2027-28 and plans to manage his knee ahead of the upcoming Big Bash League season.
