Georgia Plimmer reveals how the White Ferns have celebrated the careers of three legends while plotting how to succeed without them

New Zealand opener Georgia Plimmer scored a career-best unbeaten 85 off 68 balls in the opening T20I against Australia at North Sydney Oval. The 22-year-old carried her bat through the White Ferns' innings of 2-162, stepping up following the retirements of New Zealand legends Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine, and Lea Tahuhu.
Despite Plimmer's milestone knock, Australia won the opening contest by two wickets to take a 1-0 series lead. Plimmer highlighted that the squad, guided by interim head coach Dean Brownlie and captain Amelia Kerr, has focused on collectively sharing responsibility as they compete for the Rose Bowl trophy.
