The Story in 60 Seconds

Matthew Renshaw scored his second Test century on day two against South Africa at Kingsmead, Durban, ending a nearly decade-long drought. Batting at No. 5 after a late order reshuffle, the 30-year-old Queenslander anchored Australia's innings with exceptional patience and restraint. His milestone came nine years, nine months, and five days after his maiden Test century against Pakistan in 2017.

Renshaw attributed his red-ball progress to lessons learned from his white-ball form, including a recent maiden ODI century against Zimbabwe. He explained that adopting a relaxed mindset from limited-overs cricket helped him overcome past pressures in the Test arena, where he left 28 percent of deliveries faced during his crucial knock.
