Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by three wickets to win the one-day international tri-series final in Lahore on Saturday, thanks to a brilliant century from Fakhar Zaman.
Pakistan claimed the ODI tri-series title in Lahore on Saturday after defeating Sri Lanka by three wickets. Fakhar Zaman led the chase with a 127-run knock, overcoming a knee injury and recent poor form to guide his side toward a target of 326. Sri Lanka had earlier set a challenging total of 325-8, anchored by Kamindu Mendis' maiden ODI century of 131.
Pakistan recovered from early wickets thanks to a 149-run partnership between Zaman and 19-year-old Saad Baig, who made 74. Following Zaman's departure, Arafat Minhas hit 61 off 31 balls, and Hasan Nawaz added an unbeaten 37 to see Pakistan reach 331-7 in 48.3 overs despite Asitha Fernando taking two consecutive wickets.
