R. Ashwin took to X to praise Anshul Kamboj's performances, suggesting the Haryana pacer is putting his hand up for India's 2027 World Cup squad.
Veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin praised fast bowler Anshul Kamboj on social media, stating that the Haryana pacer has the tools to succeed internationally and could contend for India's 2027 World Cup squad. Ashwin's comments followed Kamboj's strong bowling performances during India's ODI series against New Zealand in November 2026.
Kamboj earned Player-of-the-Match honors in the first ODI at Eden Park, taking 2/22 across 10 overs in an India victory. The 25-year-old previously made his Test debut in July 2025 against England after achieving notable domestic success, including taking all ten wickets in a single Ranji Trophy innings.
