The former India bowling coach defends the makeshift pace attack and emphasises the value of learning from setbacks.
Former India bowling coach Bharat Arun has defended India's young pace attack following criticism over their recent performances against the West Indies. Addressing concerns about a bowling lineup missing Jasprit Bumrah, Arun argued that India's overall pace resources remain healthy. He highlighted that playing without experienced leaders on flat pitches presents difficult circumstances, but setbacks offer crucial learning experiences for developing bowlers.
Arun noted that four fast bowlers recently made their international debuts amid heavy squad rotation and workload management. Looking ahead to the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand starting October 22, Arun emphasized that adapting to varied conditions remains the team's primary challenge following a difficult tour of England.
