Ashwin said he couldn’t decipher why the management had lost faith in the wrist-spinner who has challenged the visiting batters.

Indian spin legend Ravichandran Ashwin criticized the Indian team management for dropping wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav from recent T20I matches against the West Indies. Ashwin argued on his YouTube channel that omitting Kuldeep 'lacks common sense,' pointing out that the visiting batters have consistently struggled to pick the spinner's variations despite high-scoring conditions.
Kuldeep played the first two matches of the series before being omitted in Indore and Hyderabad, where India suffered a 24-run loss after conceding 247 runs. Ashwin stressed that Kuldeep could have saved 15 to 20 runs, defending him against being blamed for earlier defeats as the series sits tied at 2-2 ahead of the decider in Bengaluru.
