New Zealand's Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra have been ruled out of the upcoming five-match ODI series against India due to injuries. Chapman requires two additional weeks to rehabilitate a left hamstring injury, while Ravindra is still recovering from a dislocated right shoulder. With a Test series approaching later this month, head coach Rob Walter confirmed the team will not risk Ravindra's fitness.
In response to the absences, selectors have recalled Henry Nicholls for the opening three ODIs and extended Tim Seifert's availability for the entire series. Dean Foxcroft will join the squad for the final two fixtures, and Matthew Fisher has been added for all five matches. The series begins on Wednesday, November 4, at Eden Park in Auckland.
