India National Cricket Team captain Shreyas Iyer stepped up when his team needed the most and produced a sensational batting performance in the fifth and final T20I against New Zealand National Cricket Team at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday…

India captain Shreyas Iyer scored an explosive 50 runs off 23 balls against New Zealand in the fifth T20I at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday, November 1. His aggressive innings featured three boundaries and four sixes before pacer Nathan Smith had him caught by wicketkeeper Tim Seifert. His performance helped him equal Rohit Sharma's record for the most 50-plus scores by an Indian captain in SENA countries.
Iyer reached his third 50-plus score as T20I captain in SENA countries in just 10 innings, matching Rohit Sharma's tally of three while achieving it faster than Sharma's 14 innings. The half-century was also Iyer's second 50-plus score in New Zealand, placing him level with KL Rahul and trailing only Sharma's three.
