Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has publicly advocated for Abhishek Sharma to be included in India's ODI setup ahead of the 2027 World Cup. Speaking to Cricbuzz, Yuvraj emphasized that Sharma's consistent white-ball performances warrant an opportunity in the 50-over format despite intense squad competition.
Yuvraj also endorsed Ishan Kishan and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for ODI opportunities leading up to the 2027 tournament. Sharma recently became the fastest batsman to reach 2,000 T20I runs by balls faced, achieving the milestone in 1,024 deliveries during India's series against the West Indies.
