India's men's cricket team defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the final at Nisshin on Saturday to claim gold at the Asian Games 2026.
Jay Shah praised the Indian men's cricket team after they won the gold medal at the Asian Games 2026, defeating Pakistan by 19 runs in the final in Nisshin. Led by Shreyas Iyer, India scored 211 for 6 in their 20 overs before restricting Pakistan to 192 for 6 on Saturday to secure the championship.
Abhishek Sharma scored 61 runs and Tilak Verma added an unbeaten 51 to lead India's batting effort, alongside contributions from Axar Patel. The victory marked India's 19th gold medal of the Games, completing a cricket double following the women's team gold medal victory led by Harmanpreet Kaur.
