India beat Pakistan in T20 cricket to secure back-to-back gold medals at the Asian Games - but their ODI side were unable to complete a 3-0 sweep of West Indies on the same day after Shai Hope's 162 not out…

India's men's cricket teams experienced contrasting fortunes on Saturday as the T20 squad won Asian Games gold while the ODI team missed out on a 3-0 sweep against West Indies. In Japan, India defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the Asian Games final after posting 211-6, led by Abhishek Sharma's 61 and Tilak Varma's unbeaten 51. Meanwhile in New Chandigarh, Shai Hope's brilliant 162 not out guided West Indies to a record chase of 352, claiming a five-wicket win with 10 balls remaining.
India's ODI innings featured an unbeaten 129 from KL Rahul and 92 from Rohit Sharma after Jayden Seales had struck twice early to dismiss Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli. Hope anchored the record chase, forging key partnerships with Amir Jangoo and Keemo Paul. The two sides will next contest a five-match T20 series starting in Lucknow on Tuesday.
