Cricket has developed over the years, and so have the rules as well. Thus, anti-doping has also been a part of the game as well, given the fact that no players dopes themselves while playing or ahead of the game…

Ireland Women's cricketer Rebecca Stokell has admitted to breaching the ICC's anti-doping regulations and accepted a voluntary suspension effective October 23, 2026. The violation stemmed from her use of prescription medication following a sample collected during a T20 World Cup match against Sri Lanka in Bristol on June 23, 2026.
Stokell stated that the infraction was not performance-related, took full responsibility for the mistake, and voiced hope of returning to international cricket soon. The 26-year-old batter has represented Ireland in 29 ODIs and 80 T20Is since her debut in 2017.
