Mark Boucher appointed MI Emirates head coach

MI Emirates have appointed former South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Mark Boucher as their head coach ahead of the 2026-27 ILT20 season. Boucher takes over the role from former India batter Robin Singh, who guided the team to the title in 2024. The announcement comes just one day before the auction for the fifth edition of the tournament in Dubai.

Boucher previously managed other MI franchise teams, coaching Mumbai Indians in the IPL across 2023 and 2024 and guiding MI New York to an MLC title in 2025. The ILT20 2026-27 season is scheduled to run from November 22 to December 20, with MI Emirates holding a $1,390,000 purse entering the player auction.
