He did not travel with the SA squad from Durban to Gqeberha after the first match

South Africa batter Aiden Markram missed early training sessions in Gqeberha after returning home for personal reasons following the first Test in Durban. However, he is scheduled to arrive on Friday night and is expected to attend optional training on Saturday before taking his place in the starting XI for Sunday's second Test.
In his absence, South Africa adjusted their practice slip cordon, while Ryan Rickelton trained as the designated wicketkeeper replacing Kyle Verreynne. Tristan Stubbs has reportedly been dropped, with Matthew Breetzke and Marques Ackerman preparing to feature in the revamped lineup.
