Former Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has criticized head coach Gautam Gambhir and India's team management for dropping wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the fourth T20I against the West Indies. India subsequently suffered a 24-run defeat in Hyderabad on October 15, allowing the West Indies to level the series 2-2 after posting 247/3 behind Shai Hope's unbeaten century.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin stated that omitting Kuldeep lacked common sense because West Indies batters consistently struggle to read his variations. Ashwin argued that Kuldeep's presence could have saved 15 to 20 runs, adding that it was unfair to sideline the spinner based on India's earlier loss in Ranchi.
