Indian all-rounder Riyan Parag has started training at the BCCI Centre of Excellence following shoulder surgery in June. Parag had been sidelined since the end of the IPL 2026 season due to the injury. Although an exact return date remains unconfirmed, he could potentially target a comeback in the Vijay Hazare Trophy starting on December 14.
The 24-year-old is working to regain fitness and contention for the national team ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup. During IPL 2026, Parag captained the Rajasthan Royals following Sanju Samson's departure, scoring 309 runs across 14 matches while facing controversy after being caught smoking on camera during a match.
