Izan Guevara led from lights to flag to claim victory in the Japanese Moto2 race and dramatically cut Manuel Gonzalez’s championship lead.

Izan Guevara converted pole position into a lights-to-flag victory at the Japanese Moto2 race, significantly narrowing the gap in the championship fight. Pre-race title leader Manuel Gonzalez suffered pre-race drama when he stalled and was forced to start from the pit lane, ultimately finishing the race in 22nd place.
Guevara withheld late pressure from Tony Arbolino, who secured second place for his first podium since 2025, while Filip Salac finished third. The win reduced Gonzalez's championship lead over Guevara down to just 10.5 points.
