Four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has backed his Red Bull Racing teammate Isack Hadjar to eventually succeed him at the team. Speaking to Canal+, Verstappen praised the 22-year-old's potential, noting that Red Bull always needs new talent prepared to step up when he eventually stops racing.
Hadjar joined Red Bull alongside Verstappen for the 2026 season following a stint at sister team Racing Bulls. With six rounds remaining in 2026, Verstappen sits fourth in the championship with 221 points, while Hadjar is eighth with 97 points despite missing three race weekends due to a wrist injury.
