A much-loved pioneer in F1 broadcasting has stepped down from her motorsport role after nearly 30 years working as an on-screen face in British television.

Pioneering motorsport broadcaster Louise Goodman has announced she is stepping down from ITV Sport after almost 30 years with the network. Goodman originally joined ITV in 1997 as a pit lane reporter for its Formula 1 coverage before transitioning to cover the British Touring Car Championship from 2007 onward.
Goodman made history as the first woman to hold a regular on-screen reporting role on British F1 coverage, working alongside broadcasters like Murray Walker, Martin Brundle, and Steve Rider. Her final F1 broadcast came at the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix, where Lewis Hamilton claimed his first world championship title.
