If Ferrari want to live up to their reputation and recreate a new chapter in their storied history, they should sign Christian Horner immediately.

Former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is reportedly lobbying for former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner to take over at Ferrari. Horner has expressed openness to the role, calling Ferrari the biggest brand and "sleeping giant" of Formula One. Ferrari vice-chairman Piero Ferrari reportedly supports the potential move, though chairman John Elkann has yet to make a final decision on hiring a team principal from outside mainland Europe.
Horner's wife, Geri Halliwell, is reportedly open to relocating to Italy to support her husband if he accepts the position. The potential move comes amid criticism of current Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur, whose tenure has faced scrutiny alongside health issues that caused him to miss a day at the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this year.
