Lewis Hamilton reveals Ferrari’s target for the rest of the 2026 F1 season

Lewis Hamilton has shifted his focus away from the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship title and is now targeting second place in the Drivers' Championship. Following a retirement at the Madrid Grand Prix, the Ferrari driver aims to challenge Mercedes rival George Russell during the final stages of his first season with the Italian team.

Speaking ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, Hamilton noted that championship leader Kimi Antonelli has opened a 101-point lead over him. Despite the gap, Hamilton emphasized the progress Ferrari has achieved compared to 2025, highlighting their wins, podium finishes, and successful car upgrades.
