Lewis Hamilton was seething after losing the lead of the Mexico City Grand Prix to Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc on Sunday. Leclerc attacked polesitter Hamilton…

Ted Kravitz suggested Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur was likely very annoyed by Lewis Hamilton's critical radio messages regarding teammate Charles Leclerc at the Mexico City Grand Prix. Polesitter Hamilton was overtaken by Leclerc on the opening lap when both drivers ran wide, leading Hamilton to openly complain to his team over the radio that Leclerc pushed him off track and received an insufficient penalty.
Kravitz noted that Vasseur likely wanted to keep internal team disputes private rather than aired publicly on broadcast radio. Former world champion Damon Hill also questioned Hamilton's lobbying against his Ferrari teammate, calling the complaints pointless. Leclerc served a five-second penalty, and while Hamilton eventually finished ahead of him after a red flag restart, Max Verstappen took the race lead.
