It is going to be hard for the Mexican fans of Sergio Perez to see him at the back of the grid when he races on home soil in two weeks.

Sergio Perez admitted that watching him struggle at the back of the grid with Cadillac is tough to digest for his Mexican supporters. The 36-year-old sits last in the drivers' championship with zero points across 17 rounds this season, having finished 17th and two laps down at the Singapore Grand Prix. Perez is now preparing for Cadillac's home race in Austin before heading to the Mexico City Grand Prix.
The upcoming race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is scheduled to mark Perez's 300th grand prix start. Cadillac is navigating its maiden season using customer Ferrari engines while General Motors works on a proprietary power unit for future entry. Despite the team's ongoing struggles, Perez noted that his fans understand the situation and remain fully supportive of the long-term project.
