Formula 1 has given us street circuits between casinos, a pitlane tunnel, and a paddock with a fake marina. Now the Circuit of the Americas wants the world's largest cowboy hat, complete with a bar inside, and it's hoping Guinness…

The Circuit of the Americas is constructing a massive 75-foot-tall fiberglass cowboy hat ahead of the United States Grand Prix. Set to debut in the circuit's Lone Star Land fan zone, the attraction will house a Western-themed bar inside. An official from Guinness World Records is scheduled to inspect the site on Thursday prior to the race weekend.
COTA president Bobby Epstein explained that he wanted a permanent, year-round landmark that could establish a new Guinness World Record. While no existing record category tracks the largest cowboy hat, Epstein opted for the colossal structure over a standard tent to provide visitors with a distinctive tourist attraction.
