Mercedes team principal and CEO Toto Wolff has revealed that he is evaluating a succession plan for when he eventually retires. Speaking on the Cheeky Pint podcast, Wolff explained that his duties will likely be divided between two or three people currently being vetted, ensuring the team establishes a strong and sustainable future management structure.
Wolff is currently in the final year of his contract, though no departure date has been set. The Austrian executive, who joined Mercedes in 2013, has overseen 15 combined world championships and could soon tie Ron Dennis' record of 17 if Kimi Antonelli and Mercedes secure the drivers' and constructors' titles.
