Yusaku Hosono secured spots at the 2027 Masters and Open Championship after winning the Japan Open Golf Championship. The Japanese left-hander earned a two-shot victory over runner-up Yusuke Sakamoto at Tarao Country Club, posting rounds of 65, 64, 68, and 70.
Hosono's win grants him invites via an ongoing qualifying alignment between Augusta National Golf Club and The R&A. The appearances will mark Hosono's maiden Major start at Augusta National and a debut Open start at St Andrews.
