Jim Furyk, on Tuesday, admitted to U.S. Ryder Cup team “issues.” He also made a promise ahead of next year’s event at Adare Manor in Ireland.

United States captain Jim Furyk acknowledged major foursomes struggles in recent team competitions and promised significant changes for the 2027 Ryder Cup. Speaking at a press conference, Furyk addressed the Americans' poor alternate-shot records, where Europe went 13-3 across the last two Ryder Cups. He promised his squad will prepare harder than any prior American team to fix the glaring weakness at Adare Manor in Ireland.
Furyk outlined plans that include scouting Adare Manor next summer, leaning on veteran leadership, and utilizing analytics alongside vice captains Justin Leonard and Stewart Cink. While the Americans have dominated recent Sunday singles sessions, Furyk emphasized that better team play before the final day is essential to avoid falling into insurmountable deficits.
