The new Myrtle Beach Classic tournament director says the 2027 event will go ahead as planned despite the PGA Tour cutting ties with troubled event sponsor ONEflight

The PGA Tour has severed ties with joint title sponsor ONEflight International for the Myrtle Beach Classic after the luxury travel firm faced federal fraud lawsuits. The company suddenly ceased operations in September, prompting the tour to cut relations ahead of the upcoming tournament scheduled for May 13-16, 2027, at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
Newly appointed tournament director Steve Mays confirmed the 2027 event will proceed as planned with co-sponsor Visit Myrtle Beach serving as the primary title sponsor. Despite ONEflight previously providing half of the $4 million purse, organizers confirmed there will be no change to the prize money as Brandt Snedeker prepares to defend his title.
