This week's Presidents Cup at Medinah will take place on a course that has proved its mettle in multiple big-time tournament tests.

Medinah Country Club outside Chicago is hosting the Presidents Cup on its No. 3 course, featuring 12 American golfers against 12 Internationals. The United States enters the competition holding a 13-1-1 historical record in the event.
Founded in 1924 by Shriners, Medinah's No. 3 course previously hosted major events including three U.S. Opens, the 2012 Ryder Cup, and the 1999 PGA Championship. The layout has undergone numerous renovations over the decades, most recently by design firm Ogilvy, Cocking and Mead.
