Mets fans won’t love what Pete Alonso had to say about being an Orioles player

Baltimore Orioles slugger Pete Alonso stated that he believes he was always meant to be an Oriole following Baltimore's 4-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday night. His comments sparked discussions among New York sports radio listeners and supporters of his former team, the New York Mets.

Alonso played for the Mets from 2019 through 2025 before Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns chose not to sign him long-term. Alonso subsequently joined Baltimore on a five-year, $155 million contract, hitting 41 home runs and 110 RBI over his first 159 games.
