The 2026 MLB Division Series opened on Saturday with dramatic finishes across all four matchups. The Chicago White Sox shut out the Cleveland Guardians 3-0 behind Munetaka Murakami's first postseason home run, while the Tampa Bay Rays edged the New York Yankees 1-0 after catcher Austin Wells was thrown out attempting a triple with two outs in the eighth inning.
Elsewhere, the Milwaukee Brewers held off the San Diego Padres 3-2 after a ninth-inning fly ball by Ty France struck the roof structure for an out. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 5-3 in 100-degree heat at Dodger Stadium, propelled by home runs from Teoscar Hernández, Kyle Tucker, and Max Muncy.
