Freddy Peralta threw six innings of four-hit ball, Liam Hicks lined a two-run single and the Rays beat the Guardians 3-1 to even the ALCS at 1-1.

Freddy Peralta threw six scoreless innings of four-hit ball as the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Cleveland Guardians 3-1 on Tuesday night to level the ALCS at 1-1. The game turned in the fourth inning when a fielding error by Guardians third baseman José Ramírez paved the way for three unearned runs off starter Parker Messick, capped by Liam Hicks' two-run single.
Peralta struck out six batters to secure the victory before Tampa Bay's bullpen closed out the contest. Ian Seymour escaped a seventh-inning jam despite conceding an RBI double to Chase DeLauter, and Bryan Baker delivered a perfect ninth inning for the save as the series moves to Cleveland for Game 3.
