The Giants traded former Guardians prospect Nate Furman got traded to the Nationals over the weekend.

The San Francisco Giants traded infielder Nate Furman to the Washington Nationals for minor leaguer Tony Neubeck. Furman was originally acquired by San Francisco alongside Jacob Bresnahan in a 2024 trade deadline deal that sent pitcher Alex Cobb to the Cleveland Guardians.
Away Back Gone argues the original trade has turned into a loss for Cleveland after Cobb pitched just 23 innings. Due to a 40-man roster crunch, San Francisco dealt Furman, who batted .125 in 22 games, after Washington designated Richard Lovelady to open a roster spot.
